Careers at Faldex Financial
Most people don't quit because it's hard. They quit because nobody showed them what to do.
We train new life insurance agents. You don't need experience and you don't need a license yet. You do need to be coachable and willing to pick up the phone.
Straight answer first
Good fit for some people. Bad fit for others.
Better you work that out now than three weeks into a licensing course. Here's the honest version.
A good fit if you
- Are 18 or over and can pass a background check
- Can go four to eight weeks before your first commission
- Want to be trained by a person, not handed a login
- Are comfortable on the phone, or willing to get comfortable
- Take feedback without taking it personally
Not a fit if you
- Need income this month
- Expect free leads handed to you
- Want a salary, benefits, or set hours
- Are looking for something passive
- Already produce well and are shopping for a better contract
- Would rather not be told what you're doing wrong
The path
From no license to your first sale.
Nobody explains this part properly, so here it is in order, with what each step costs and roughly how long it takes. The first seven are yours. After that you're working with us.
- 01
Pre-licensing course
An online course you work through at your own pace. Each chapter locks until you pass its quiz, so you can't skim it.
$50 to $4002 to 4 weeks, typical - 02
Book your state exam
Scheduled in person at a testing centre. Bring government photo ID on the day.
$29 to $98Book 1 to 2 weeks out - 03
Pass the exam
If you don't pass first time, you rebook and sit it again. It happens and it isn't the end of anything.
Same day result - 04
Apply for your license
Submitted to your state once you've passed.
$10 to $225 by stateDays to weeks - 05
Fingerprints and background check
An appointment you book yourself. Required in most states.
$30 to $50One appointment - 06
Your NPN is issued
Your National Producer Number. This is the point where you're officially a licensed agent.
Usually within days - 07
Contract with Faldex
Carrier appointments, errors and omissions cover, and the paperwork that lets you actually write business.
About a week - From here you're not on your own
- 08
Onboarding
Product training, and how a final expense appointment actually runs start to finish.
Before you dial - 09
Five shadow calls
You listen to five real calls before you make one. You hear the presentation, the objections, and what a sale actually sounds like.
Every agent, no exceptions - 10
Your first calls, with support on the line
You dial, someone experienced is there. We keep going until you have your first sale, and we treat that as our job as much as yours.
Daily contact, first 30 days
What it costs you. Everything in steps one to five comes out of your pocket before you earn anything. Most people land between $250 and $500 all in, depending on the state and which course they pick.
Arizona, as a worked example: about $125 for the pre-licensing course, $38 for the exam, $42 for fingerprints, and $120 for the licence application. Call it $325. Your state will differ, and we'll give you the real number before you spend a dollar. If it isn't affordable right now, that's worth knowing early.
Figures checked September 2026. State fees change, so confirm current amounts with your state insurance department before relying on them.
What you get from us
A small agency, on purpose.
You work directly with the person who owns the agency. That's the whole point, and it's the one thing a large organisation can't give you.
Daily contact for your first 30 days
Not a weekly call you wait for. Every day, while everything is new and you have the most questions.
Real training, not a video library
Product, underwriting, phone work and objection handling. We keep a working library of 46 objections and how to handle each one.
Leads, straight about it
You buy your own leads. What you get from us is the vendors we actually use, the scripts, and help working them so you aren't burning money learning rather than earning.
A contract that moves
You start on a contract and it goes up as you produce. We'll tell you exactly where you start and what moves it, on the call, before you commit to anything.
Our own in-house systems
We run our own systems rather than renting someone else's. Most of the technology in this industry is built for large agencies and not for the person actually on the phone, so we build what our agents need instead of making them work around somebody else's software.
Already licensed
If you got licensed and then got left alone, we should talk.
A lot of people pass the exam, sign a contract, and never write anything, because nobody showed them how to run an appointment. If that's you, the licensing part is done and we can get straight to the work.
If you're already producing well and shopping for a better contract, we're probably not the right fit right now. We'd rather say that up front than waste your time on a call.

No resume and no application. Six questions, then a real conversation about whether this makes sense for you. If it doesn't, we'll say so.

Faldex Financial LLC contracts with independent agents. This is an independent contractor opportunity, not employment, and there is no salary, no benefits, and no guaranteed income. Agents are paid commission on policies that are issued and paid, and commissions are subject to chargeback if a policy lapses early. Agents are responsible for their own licensing costs, errors and omissions coverage, taxes, and business expenses, including the cost of leads. Income depends on individual effort, licensing status, and carrier appointment, and results vary. Nothing on this page is an offer of employment or a promise of earnings. Opportunity availability varies by state and by carrier. Licensing fees and requirements are set by each state and change over time; confirm current figures with your state insurance department before relying on them.
